Honey Water

#1

In harvesting I saved my ‘honey wash water’ and plan to use it for feeding in the spring. I heard about this from a bee keeper. Will the ‘honey water’ ferment? and cause bees grief?

Sorry for the delayed response. If honey gets diluted it tends to mold and/or ferment pretty quickly. It can be used to feed bees immediately after you make it, but I wouldn’t try saving it for spring. You’ve probably already run into issues with it getting moldy.

Best,
