Drone cell questions

#1

We recently installed a package of bees in a new top bar hive. The worker bees have immediately gone about building comb from several of the top bars. The bees have released the queen from the queen cage. About nine days after she starts laying eggs, we expect to see lots of capped worker bee brood cells. However, my questions are about drone cells. When should we expect to see capped drone cells? Does the queen usually, when starting a colony, lay worker bee eggs along with a few drone eggs? Or, does she wait until the colony is reasonably well developed until she starts laying some drone eggs?
